Carnegie Building: Conversion to Mariott Courtyard Hotel, Downtown Atlanta COMPLETED

The Carnegie building, originally built in 1925 and designated in 1990 as an Atlanta Historic Building, opened as a Marriott Courtyard Hotel and Café Intermezzo Restaurant in January 2011. The property is conveniently located at a prominent location in the heart of downtown Atlanta on the corner of Carnegie Way and the famous ‘Peachtree Street’. Standing 12 stories high, it was one of the first “skyscrapers" in the City of Atlanta. The building is next to the Peachtree Center MARTA station and within walking distance of many major hotel demand generators such as fine restaurants, a variety of shopping outlets, places of interest and corporate offices.

On 1st April 2011, the Carnegie Building, was the proud recipient of the “Excellence in Rehabilitation Award” from the Georgia Trust.
